Tennis Divas

I've been watching women's tennis a bit over the last few years. The term "tennis diva" has arisen out of seemingly nowhere. They use it for Maria Sharapova, who makes a lot of noise on the court, reminiscent of Molica Seles. I wouldn't refer to it as singing by any means. If diva means cute or something, Maria is being marketed as something sweetheart with some validity, so maybe that's what it means. Also, the Williams sisters have been touted as divas. What?? The only thing those massive Amazons could be divas of would be the Steriod Gods. NFL fullbacks are more slim and trim. Drive on, oh clueless tennis writers!!!
